About the Club

Our Story

Founded in 2015, Maradhoo United has grown from a street-soccer side into a club that competes hard and gives back to its community.

Maradhoo United was founded in 2015 by Vishan Habeeb and Shiyan Habeeb with the vision of competing in the Addu Street Soccer Tournament. Since its establishment, the club has participated in eight editions of the tournament, gaining valuable experience and building a strong reputation for dedication and teamwork.

As the club continued to grow, it expanded its ambitions by competing in larger tournaments. In 2023, Maradhoo United made its debut in the Goadiyaa Futsal Cup, reaching the semi-finals and marking another significant milestone in the club's journey.

Committed to promoting football within the community, the club also launched its own tournament — the Maradhoo Street Challenge. The inaugural edition was successfully held in 2020, followed by a second edition in 2025. Encouraged by the overwhelming support from players and fans, Maradhoo United plans to make it an annual tournament.

Scheduled for August 2026 in Maradhoo, Addu City, the third edition brings 24 teams together for the region's premier street football event — with registration now open to clubs across Addu City.

24 teams. Group stage & knockout.

The Maradhoo Street Challenge 2026 features 24 teams split into 6 groups of 4. Each team plays three group matches; the bottom side in each group is eliminated. The top two from every group qualify for the Round of 16, joined by the four best third-placed teams.
